Fire & Water - Cleanup & Restoration

Getting to the subfloor

In a water damage, either the water is easy to dry or it takes more than the 3-5 days. But there is so much more under the floor that we do not see or are not aware of. There are many layers under the seen floor in any building. Sometimes it is just cement, other times it is the previous floor, subfloor, then foundation. We couldn't dry the wood floors that were in this house, so we had to remove them and dry underneath. The subfloor was plywood which was causing the wood floors to not be able to dry. Once we got the approval to remove the floors and dry the subfloor, we were able to move along the drying process to get it to drying conditions.
